KCRC Statement of Purpose

  • To provide an experience of Christian living through which campers come to a better understanding of Christian principles and teachings as revealed in the Bible.

  • To help campers in their understanding of God and His purpose as they make discoveries about His work in nature.

  • To use this appreciation of God’s creation to be better stewards in preserving nature for future generations.

  • To give campers a new perspective through the experience of being away from home.

  • To give campers a place in which to meet Jesus and develop their personal relationship with God.

  • To provide time for contemplation not always possible in other parts of the church.

  • To let campers learn to worship God in new ways out-of-doors.

  • To develop genuine Christian fellowship, and to help campers recognize that they are part of the body of Christ.

  • To enable campers to have a joyful, happy, and wholesome time.

  • To connect the joy and growth of the camper experience to life back at home and in the church.
